I stumbled across this piece in the "Critiqueables" category, and upon looking at it I wondered if the rest of your gallery displayed as much sensitivity in the color and line treatment, and indeed it did! Your technique is consummately amazing, and I love the delicacy of your drawings. Your figures seem almost like they exist in their own ephemeral sphere, and it's beautiful. I can only assume you're a professional at this; if you're not, you should be. That said, I noticed that all your pieces were available for critique, so I still chose this one because I think it may be one of your weaker ones (this is all relatively speaking, of course, they're all great). In particular, I see that in both this and the "Le Le" piece, your girls are standing with their heads tilted upward, but are still viewed from the front. Unfortunately, it seems as if you might be having trouble with this angle; even though I know that a head angled that way will necessarily have "more chin" visible than is actually there, but it's particularly noticeable in this one and the other piece I mentioned; both of these girls seem to have very square jaws, and on neither girl is the under-chin area visible, even though it would be. Your rendering is so careful that I can't imagine why you would neglect that area, unless you were having some trouble with it. You obviously don't have this problem with oblique views of the same upward head-tilt, and you're very good at proportioning female faces; it seems to be just this particular angle where that flatness shows up. Of course, if you're at the level I think you're at, and you ARE having trouble with it, you probably don't need me to tell you. Otherwise, of course, your work is amazing, and I've already faved a couple of your pieces and intend to watch you so I see whatever new stuff you come up with. I think your technique is admirable and the atmosphere you put into your picture is beautiful in its delicacy and subtlety, and I can't wait to see more from you. Cheers!
